Castelnuovo Berardenga is the place of origin of the Chianti Classico selezionato, a territory that makes grapes the main crop, characterized by a soil that has modest quantities of organic matter and a reduced presence of assimilable phosphorus.
The altitude (from 250 to 500 meters) favors the cultivation of Sangiovese, an indigenous grape variety that gives most of the excellent Tuscan’s red wines great body and structure.
